At West Kowloon Kindergarten (WKK), children take part in a wide range of play experiences carefully designed to develop their understanding and skills. Our inquiry-based approach encourages children to ask questions, make predictions, solve problems and discover answers for themselves.
During the day, children may take part in:
- Whole-class circle times with songs and stories
- Small-group projects and collaborative activities
- Individual or group child-initiated play
- One-on-one conferencing and guided learning with a teacher
Children also benefit from our large indoor play area, designed for everyday exploration and active learning. The space includes sand and water play stations where children scoop, pour, build and experiment—developing fine motor control, early scientific thinking and creativity. Open areas support climbing, balancing, jumping and other gross-motor activities to build strength, coordination and confidence. Well-resourced role-play corners invite social interaction, language development and imaginative storytelling.
This blended programme ensures each child’s day is full of play, movement, discovery and meaningful learning.
